Epiphany
Epiphany, which means manifestation or revelation, celebrates the revelation of Jesus Christ as the Savior of the world. It begins with the Day of Epiphany, January 6th, and continues until the beginning of the time of Lent. The Day of Epiphany celebrates the coming of the Magi, symbolic of the Gentiles, to worship the Christ. Our Lord is revealed not only as the Messiah of Israel, but as the Savior of the world and Lord of his Church. On our banner, the four crosses joined at their bases remind us that the work of Christ reaches to the four corners of the earth. For the grace of God has appeared for the salvation of all men. (Titus 2.11)
