Advent Feast

December 4, 2022

4:00pm – 7:00pm

Category: Fellowship | Coordinator: Jeremy Allen

On Sunday, December 4th we'll gather for our second ever Advent Feast. As you know, Advent is a season in which we as God's people look forward with expectation to the second coming of Christ. It is the start of the church year with themes of repentance, patience, and hope.

In keeping with these themes, the Advent Feast, which will take place on the second Sunday of Advent, is a journey of food and faith as we reflect on the history of God's people from exile to restoration. It will be an evening of reading, singing, and feasting. A major part of the evening will be enjoying God's gift of food and drink and fellowshipping with one another as part of the body of Christ. The food is themed according to the different exiles God's people experienced with food playing a major role. Think of the forbidden fruit in the garden, bread from heaven in the wilderness, unclean foods in Babylon, and water to wine at the coming of Christ. Feel free to invite family, friends, neighbors, and strangers.

Please RSVP to the church phone at 805.968.0113 or email so we can make sure enough food is prepared.
