Here at El Camino we like to celebrate what God has done for his people in Christ Jesus. The church year begins with the season of Advent, which is both a celebration of Jesus' first coming at his incarnation and the hopeful anticipation of his second coming. While the church year hits a high note with Holy Week, the year ends with the day of Pentecost, a celebration of the pouring out of the Holy Spirit after Christ's ascension into heaven.

Pentecost marks the completion of Christ's work of redemption as the Spirit is given to people from every tribe, tongue, and nation. For this reason, we like to gather together for a time of feasting -- to share food and drink, song and fellowship -- to celebrate what God has done for us in Christ Jesus.

What will we do?

In addition to a shared meal, we'll join our voices together in prayer and song and learn of the significance of Pentecost for our lives as believers.
